Under the direction of the Manager, Implementation team, the Senior Portfolio Analyst, Implementation joins a team that works actively with traders, portfolio managers and client servicing teams, in order to provide support in the fulfillment of the clients\xe2\x80\x99 trading activities. In this role, you will contribute directly through the various processes required to implement and produce segregated equities and fixed income trading blotters, while supporting traders and portfolio managers with different information that they need. Through your efforts, the trading process is accurately executed in accordance with the clients\xe2\x80\x99 ultimate needs. To deliver a great client experience, you are flexible to work on occasion on weekends (a few times a year) in order to implement large tactical shifts across client accounts.

How you\xe2\x80\x99ll succeed

  • Trade Implementation (rebalancing) - Implement equity and fixed income rebalancing programs in Bloomberg based on internal and third party models. Make sure that accounts are pre-trade compliant, by adjusting trading programs when there is a breach. Using post-trade compliance reports, justify any remaining account breaches and discuss corrective action with the Portfolio Manager.

  • Trade Implementation (Strategic) - Based on Portfolio Manager\xe2\x80\x99s instructions (internal or external) execute strategic trades for all accounts holding a particular equities or fixed income model, while ensuring trades are pre-trade compliant.

  • Reporting - Produce various daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly reports, and ensuring that reports are accurate and released within the established deadlines. Update and maintain the assigned PM quote sheets on a daily basis. Provide PMs with any reports they require on an ad-hoc basis. Respond to other special queries from internal clients such as the PMs or the Servicing Managers for CPIC (i.e. tax loss selling, trading simulations).

  • Problem Solving \xe2\x80\x93 Become one of the main resource persons in the team. Take the lead when problems arise in order to find solutions to appropriately and quickly resolve the issue. If needed, follow the proper escalation process for resolving issues by reaching out to the respective internal/external teams.

  • Projects - Participate in the development of new systems and processes in order to enhance the overall productivity of the department.


Who you are

  • You demonstrate experience in. Experience in the financial services industry (minimum of 3 years, ideally back office or middle office), MS-Office, SS&C, VBA and Bloomberg. It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if you have the CFA designation or have successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).

  • You have a degree/diploma in. You have a degree or diploma in business, finance or economics.
