Supervises: Church-Community Communications, Internal Communications, Project Management and Administrative duties

Job Summary:



The Church Community Associate leads both internal and external communications and manages key cross-functional projects within the church. This role ensures clear messaging, brand consistency, and effective coordination of initiatives that support the church's mission, ministries, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Community Communication & Team Support



Facilitate effective communication between the community and the Church. Facilitate effective communication between departments and the church leadership. Provide and maintain tools/templates to help volunteers and ministry leaders communicate well with their teams and the congregation. Support leadership in strategic planning and communication rollouts. Lead internal community initiatives that facilitate spiritual growth and fellowship bond.

2. Compliance and Risk Management



Ensure the church complies with all relevant Municipal, Federal and Provincial laws and regulations. This to include compliance with King's Court Church Constitution requirements.
Identify and mitigate potential risks to the church, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.

3. Project Management



Plan and manage church-wide projects. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-team collaboration (staff, volunteers, contractors). Track progress, manage budgets, and provide updates to leadership. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Research and apply for funding opportunities and grants available to charitable organizations

4. Event Promotion & Support



Manage communications with external community stakeholders for major events (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Stampede, outreach efforts etc.). Coordinate event marketing outreach timelines and collateral and coordinate updates to the front signage. Support event execution with clear role assignments and follow-up plans.

5. Communications Strategy & Execution



Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan. Oversee e-newsletters, and promotional materials. Ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms. Capture and share stories/testimonies that reflect the church's impact.

6. Pastoral Support



Provide organizational support to pastors, enabling them to focus on spiritual leadership. Assist in managing crises, providing logistical and operational support as needed.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (preferred). 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or media; experience in a ministry or nonprofit setting is a plus. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Understanding of church culture, theology, and sensitivity to Christian messaging and audience.

Working Conditions and Benefit:



part-time, starting at 20h/week. Requires occasional evening/weekend hours for events or meetings. Role may include on-site responsibilities during services or project milestones.
