Job Description
Cornell Farms is a fifth generation family farm which was homesteaded in 1897 in the Rainy River District within Northwestern Ontario. Cornell Farm\'s business is divided into 2 components: beef breeding stock and natural beef products for the consumers. We have just finished an extensive project of land clearing and tile drainage to expand our crop and forage production, as well as participating in the Artisanal Chicken Programme. This job would focus on the livestock and cropping part of our operation. This would include livestock handling, calving, herd management and pasture rotation. It would also include fencing repari, distributing salt and mineral and other feed as needed. They would also be responsible for the daily care of the chickens including watering, feeding, maintaining pen and outdoor area. This position would also be involved in the cropping part of our business including cultivating, planting, and harvesting crops. This would also include soil testing and spreading manure/fertilizer as needed. Benefits:
