Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with special needs such as dementia or disabilities.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.

Requirements

Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or in hospice care settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
