Full-time Permanent (37.5 hours per week)



Sunbeam Developmental Resource Centre (SDRC) is the single point of access to developmental services for children in the Region of Waterloo. SDRC provides case management and clinical services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders. SDRC also assists them and their caregivers in connecting with community services and supports. SDRC's services are available to children and adults with developmental disabilities in Waterloo Region. (www.sdrc.ca)

Reporting to the Supervisor Intake and Resource Consultation/Administration and Clinical Records, the Children's Psychiatry Clinic Administrator and Professional Services Assistant role is a key position, providing support to electronic records systems, to receive and respond to telephone and visitor inquiries. The successful candidate will participate in information updating related to records functions and provide support to various teams within SDRC with clinical or administrative needs on a planned or as needed basis. The skills and knowledge required for this position are normally associated with post-secondary education or training in a related field; supplemented by experience serving individuals with a variety of needs; excellent verbal/written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team;. Certification in CPI-Prepare Training and First/Aid/CPR is required.

Major Responsibilities:



Oversight and maintenance of respite and residential registry that SDRC holds the wait list for - including sending referrals when vacancies are declared/maintenance of waitlist registries and main point of contact for respite referrals Administrative Support for Children's Psychiatrist Clinic Manage client files, referrals and required documentation Maintain records, scan/fax documents and communicate with referring physicians Coordinate and schedule appointments Support weekly psychiatric clinic operations Assist Supervisor and Leadership Team, and front-line staff as needed daily Other duties as needed/requested by the Supervisor/Leadership Team Administrative function for client database EMHware Administrative function for Committees - attend committee meetings - responsible for agenda/agenda items/minutes and data entry Partner with the SDRC Administrative Coordinator as needed daily and provide support and general office functions Phone coverage as needed

Qualifications:



College diploma in related field (Health Care Administration, Medical Office Practices or Administrative Business Management certificate) Experience in a non-profit health care setting considered an asset Above average oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented Expertise in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience working in an Electronic Client Records, such as EMHware, system is an asset Primary work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 with flexible hours as required

Pay: $25.78-$28.65 per hour
