We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and possess a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves supporting children's physical, emotional, and educational needs while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The Childcare Worker will play a vital role in promoting learning, behavior management, and overall well-being within our childcare setting.
Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure the safety of children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas such as social skills, motor skills, and early learning
Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance to foster inclusion
Maintain a clean and organized environment in compliance with health and safety standards
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
Assist with classroom management to encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children
Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues
Skills
Experience with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members
Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards children of diverse backgrounds and needs
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
Classroom experience or daycare background is highly desirable
Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play
Nannying or babysitting experience is beneficial for understanding individual child needs
