Job Title: Childcare Worker

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time (15 - 30 Hours Regular - 40 During Spring/Summer Break)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily care and education of children, ensuring their well-being and development in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage with children in a variety of age groups. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Create a safe and secure environment for children, following health and safety guidelines. Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians. Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Attend team training sessions and workshops to enhance professional development. Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and any significant incidents when required.

Qualifications:

Preference given to candidates with 1-2+ years of experience in childcare or a related field -

Not a requirement, we will train applicants who are eager to enter the field!

Preference will be given towards applicants with Class 5 Drivers license as we are needing more drivers for events!*
High School Diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification preferred.

Required:

CPR C and First Aid certification (8 hour course).

Required:

20 Hours course/program in a relatable subject/field towards childcare/children. (Free courses are available online, VIHA Requirement).

Required:

Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 20lbs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with children and contributing to their development. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
