Job Description

EMU School Age Centre Inc is hiring a Child Care Assistant on a part time basis in an inclusion support position. The eligible candidate must be available Monday through Friday, 2:30-6:00pm on school days and 7:00am - 6:00pm on school in-services and breaks (in-services schedules will be 8 hours). This is a term position until June 30, 2025 with the potential to extend depending on funding.

We are located in Ecole Margaret-Underhill in Transcona.

Eligible Candidates

Eligible candidates must have/be:

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Reliable, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible

- Display a high level of professionalism

- Strong, positive behaviour management skills

- Nurturing, calm, & caring

- The ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

- The ability to work in partnership with families

A current First aid and CPR certificate level C is considered an asset

All successful candidates will be required to obtain:

- CCA classification from province of Manitoba

- Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search

- Child Abuse Registry Check

- level C first aid and CPR

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $15.80-$17.51 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week

• Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
