Childcare Support Worker
Job Description
Success Solutions Home Health is seeking a caring, reliable, and patient Child Minding Support Worker to assist a family whose child is on the autism spectrum. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference.
Position Details
Role: Child Minding Support Worker
Schedule: 1 evening shift per weekend(approx. 4 shifts per month)
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Location: Victoria and surrounding areas (exact address shared during interview)
Responsibilities
Provide attentive and engaging care for a child on the autism spectrum
Support a calm, safe, and predictable environment
Offer age-appropriate activities and supervision
Communicate effectively with parents about routines and needs
Maintain a compassionate, patient, and understanding approach
Requirements
Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum (paid or volunteer)
Comfort working independently in a family home
Ability to follow routines and individualized strategies
Clear criminal record check (or willingness to obtain)
Valid First Aid/CPR is an asset
Additional training or coursework related to ASD is an asset
