About the Position



The Zone Program Supervisor is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of Kids and Teen Zone Programs and extended care (if applicable), at the assigned Center. The Zone Program Supervisor is responsible for the care of Boys and Girls Club of Niagara property and assets as assigned.

In consultation with the Child and Youth Program Manager/General Manager, the Zone Program Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all deliverables identified within this position description are conducted in a safe manner, consistent with the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara policies, philosophy and core values, which align with the Boys and Girls Club of Canada.

Position Overview



Full-time, hourly position (35 - 44 hours per week); Compensation range: $24.50-$25.50 per hour, plus $2/hour Internal Wage enhancement. Full-time placement offers: A comprehensive benefits package is provided after the probationary period, including a health care spending account and a free fitness pass at our EJ Freeland Community Centre in Fort Erie.

Duties and Responsibilities



Deliverables include, but are not exclusive to, the following:

Oversee the delivery of prescribed programs and services; Ensure compliance with governing bodies including, but not exclusive to, the Ministry of Education, Niagara Region Public Health, etc. Develop, promote and maintain professional and positive internal and external relationships with all departments; Ensure that Club communication with respect to assigned programs is delivered to the Supervisor/Manager for approval by the second week of each month. Information is available and distributed. Customer inquiries are addressed promptly or relayed to the Manager. Participant data and feedback reports are completed monthly. Revenue, expenses, purchase orders, and invoices are processed and monitored weekly. Ensure sanitization is assigned and documented. Course outlines and lesson plans are available for all programs and services. Facilities are scheduled effectively and efficiently. Attendance and participation data reports are submitted monthly. Rosters are accurate. Facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair. Fire and Emergency Response duties are completed and documented.*

Qualifications



Diploma/degree in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Studies, Recreation and Leisure, or related field. - Required at time of hire Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance - Must have from within the past 6 months or proof of application (receipt) required at time of hire Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and AED - Required at time of hire HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development - Can obtain after time of hire Food Handler's certification - Can obtain after time of hire Immunization records - Required at time of hire Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle - Required at time of hire Experience working directly with children and/or delivering children's programming -Two years required Experience in budgeting, human resource management and facility management. - An asset Working knowledge of applicable legislation - An asset
