Ivy Montessori School offers authentic Montessori education for children aged 2.5 - 6 years old.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role as a Childcare Program Support Staff at Ivy Montessori School in Etobicoke, ON. This role involves assisting with daily preparation, outdoor supervision of children, and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with Daily Preparation:

Help prepare materials for the day as directed

Supervise Children:

Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors. Actively monitor children during outdoor playtime and meals. Assist with the bathrooms routine.

Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment:

Clean and sanitize materials, equipment, and surfaces. Organize supplies and materials.

Collaborate with Other Staff:

Work effectively as part of a team.

Follow Safety Protocols:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

Attend Staff Meetings and Training:

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Patient, compassionate, and nurturing attitude towards children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Prior experience working with children in a childcare setting is an asset

Requirements

First Aid / Level C CPR Complete A Successful Police Check Food Handlers Certificate Up-to-date Immunization Record
