Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Educator to join our team. As a Childcare educator, you will play a crucial role in educating and caring for children, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need to thrive.

Duties

- Supervise and engage with children in a classroom setting, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide basic need support, including assistance with daily routines such as meals, naps, and hygiene.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive community for both children and families.

Requirements

- Alberta Early Learning and Childcare Educator Certificate Level 2/3-Required

- Valid Police Check along with Vulnerable Sector Search

- Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education regulation and practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and parents.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to various developmental stages.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for all children in your care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50-$19.00 per hour
