Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Ability to communicate clearly and in a courteous manner towards children, parents, members of the Centre and public, both verbally and in writing. Ability to be flexible, to show initiative and work independently. Attend monthly evening meetings and functions as required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand long periods of times, to lift objects and children, to bend and work at the height of children. Willingness to work in conditions involving exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases. Clear understanding of and commitment to workplace health and safety standards requirements. Able to move and lift children or equipment daily
Requirements:

A current Health Assessment, up to date immunization including a TB test or Letter of Conscience/Religious exemptions. Vulnerable Police Criminal Reference Check (Within past 6 months) Standard Infant and Child First Aid (Valid)
Responsibilities

Work cooperatively with team members and other staff. Establish and maintain an excellent relationship with parents. Perform deep cleaning tasks, which may include washing storage boxes or deep cleaning carpets and upholstery. Sweep, mop, and disinfect all floors, including classrooms and restrooms. Clean and disinfect tables, chairs, and other classroom equipment. Sanitize toys and play equipment regularly. Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring sinks and toilets are disinfected. Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and counters. Empty all waste bins and take out the trash and recycling. Wash and sanitize dishes, such as afternoon snack dishes. Address spills and messes quickly and efficiently as they occur. Launder washcloths, bedding, and plush toys as needed. Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces. Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, if applicable. Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
