About us:

The Kreative Kidz Early Learning Centre is a Government subsidized facility located in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan (Southwest Saskatchewan). Our facility has 45 licensed spots for children up to 12 years old, and a before and after school program. Gull Lake is a small town with big hearts that is vibrant, active and growing.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee the daily operations of our early learning centre. This leadership role involves managing administrative, financial, and human resource functions, while ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive early childhood education program. Key responsibilities include:

Program Leadership & Implementation - promote inclusive, developmentally appropriate programming across all classrooms. Ensuring compliance with all government licensing and regulatory requirements, including The Child Care Act, 2014 and The Child Care Regulations, 2015*.
Maintaining annual licensing and ensuring the centre meets all legal standards. Overseeing accurate record-keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting. Recruiting, training, and supervising staff and volunteers. Manage daily scheduling, staffing ratios, and operational logistics. Supporting staff development and conducting performance evaluations. Applying for grants and tracking related requirements. Maintaining enrollment through community outreach and program excellence. Facilitating in alternate programs (Before and After School Program). Facilitating effective communication with families and encouraging their engagement. Acting as a liaison between staff, families, and the Board of Directors. Participating in professional organizations and contributing to policy and procedure development.

Minimum Education Requirement:

As per provincial regulations, a minimum two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent ECE Level III certification is required. However, we are open to applying for an exemption for the right candidate who is committed to obtaining their ECE Level III certification.

Other Requirements:

A current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search is required prior to employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in an early learning and child care setting. Proven management and leadership experience. Strong understanding of The Child Care Regulations, 2015 and The Child Care Act, 2014*.
Experience working with a non-profit Board of Directors. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in computer use and record keeping. Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft's suite of programs is an asset. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Salary:

Competitive salary offered commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
