Childcare Assistant Manager
to support daily operations and help maintain high-quality standards in care and programming.Position Summary
The Childcare Assistant Manager will work closely with the Centre Manager to support staff, assist with administration, ensure compliance with licensing regulations, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace. The ideal candidate is responsible, professional, and passionate about early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Manager with daily centre operations Support staff scheduling, supervision, and communication Ensure compliance with BC childcare licensing requirements Help plan and implement programs and activities Maintain a clean, safe, and child-focused environment Communicate professionally with families and staff Assist with documentation, record-keeping, and reports Step into leadership duties in the Manager's absence
Qualifications
ECE, ECE IT Certification
(ECE preferred)Minimum 2 years experience as a childcare Manager/ Assistant is an Must
. Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment Knowledge of BC licensing regulations (preferred) First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Experience:
childcare managment: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
ECE, ECE IT SN certification (preferred)
Work Location: In person
