Childcare Assistant/ Housekeeper
Job Description
Orchardview Montessori is a small, nurturing child care centre in Orleans, and we are looking for a caring and dedicated team member to join our staff. The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively and supporting the growth and well-being of young children.
In this position candidate will:
Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment in accordance with school policies
Provide basic care, including feeding, diapering, and sleep-time routines
Help cover staff breaks, maintain ratios, and assist or replace staff as needed
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities
Foster positive social interactions and help guide children through their formative early years
Help maintain a clean and organized childcare space
Attend professional workshops and staff meetings as required
Our school is open from 8:00-4:30. Person hired must be able to work Monday- Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably someone who has child care / cleaning experience but not necessary Must have an adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of position Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (completed at time of hiring or shortly afterwards) Updated Health Assessment and Immunization according to Ministry requirements Clear Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector (completed within 6 months of employment or can be completed upon hiring)

Pay: $18.00-$20.50 per hour
