Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment. This role involves providing care, supervision, and educational support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their development.

A knowledge of or experience in Montessori is an asset.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in a safe and stimulating environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood learning. Provide care for children, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction and emotional growth. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space to ensure a healthy environment. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and Montessori is highly desirable. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that educate while entertaining children. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with classroom management techniques is an asset. A background in supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
