Mak-a-mini is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at our brand new daycare center. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our daycare center\'s Director and staff. You will perform a range of administrative duties to ensure that the daycare runs smoothly and efficiently
Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):
Manage Mak-a-Mini\xe2\x80\x99s administrative needs and secretarial duties utilizing the full Microsoft Office suite.
Manage Mak-a-Mini\xe2\x80\x99s correspondence including incoming phone calls, letters, packages, and electronic communication/enquiries.
Facilitate the communication of daycare updates through the daycare management software; HiMama.
Collect and maintain physical and digital office records that contain financial, children and staff data while maintaining confidentiality.
Effectively communicate and implement Mak-a-Mini\xe2\x80\x99s vision, policies and procedures to parents, staff, and community.
Support Childcare Educators in classrooms as needed; including assisting with housekeeping duties, nutritional breaks, classroom set-up, rest periods and administration of first aid.
Other duties as assigned which are deemed necessary to support colleagues in their roles or support the College in achieving its goals and objectives.
Education and Experience
Early Childhood Educator Level 2 Certification (Child Development Worker) preferred
Early Childhood Educator Level 1 Certification (Child Development Assistant) required
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in a daycare center
Knowledge of the daycare management software HiMama (asset)
Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite
CPR/First Aid Certificate
Police check \xe2\x80\x93 Vulnerable Sector
