Northern Play Therapy provides trauma-informed, attachment-focused psychotherapy for children, youth, and families. We use play-based and creative approaches to help clients build safety, connection, and emotional regulation. Our therapists receive supervision, training, and ongoing professional support.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated therapist to join our team. This role involves providing therapy to children and youth, occasionally including parent or caregiver sessions. Play-based training and supervision will be provided to the right candidate.
Requirements
BSW required
MSW or MSW student preferred
Registered with the OCSWSSW
(or eligible and willing to obtain registration)
Must hold or be willing to obtain
professional liability insurance
Some evening and/or weekend availability
Ability to work independently
and manage a caseload responsibly
Reliable transportation
and ability to travel as needed
Assets
Previous experience in a
clinical or mental health setting
Interest in or experience with
play therapy
and
child/youth counselling
Comfort with
virtual and in-person sessions
