Join the Aya?s Me?n?men Wellness Services team as a Child & Youth Mental Health Therapist. This role is vital in supporting the wellness of Sk?wx?wu?7mesh children, youth, and families. You will walk alongside families on their healing journey, offering trauma-informed, holistic, and culturally grounded services that foster resilience, identity, and wellbeing.


As part of the Child & Family Wellness team, you will provide therapeutic counselling and prevention supports, advocate for children and youth experiencing challenges, and contribute to intergenerational wellness rooted in Squamish values. Your work will directly support the Nation's long-term goal of building strong, healthy generations connected to their culture and community.

What You'll Do

Provide culturally sensitive one-to-one and family therapy for children, youth, and parents. Facilitate and support group programs and mental health education sessions. Deliver services both in-office and through outreach in the community. Collaborate with case managers, community supports, and other service providers to co-create therapeutic goals and service plans. Document case notes and reporting aligned with best practice standards. Participate in Integrated Case Management meetings and family circles. Uphold a strength-based, trauma-informed approach guided by Squamish values. Attend community events, camps, and initiatives on evenings and weekends when needed. Contribute as part of the Aya?s Me?n?men team to advance family and community wellness.

What We're Looking For

Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field. Registration in good standing with a professional body (BCACC, BCCSW, ACCT, or equivalent). experience in child/youth counselling, psychology, family dynamics, or intergenerational trauma. Experience working in or alongside First Nations communities. Deep respect for Indigenous teachings, traditions, and culturally safe service delivery. Cultural humility and respect for Sk?wx?wu?7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination. Experience working in or alongside First Nations governments or Indigenous organizations preferred.

Salary:

$94,000 - $141,000


Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
