Hours:

4-24 hours per week


Shifts:

Shifts vary, will include weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Coverage most needed for weekday mornings and Saturdays



Salary:

0-500 Hours $17.94 hourly


501-1000 hours $18.48 hourly


1001-1500 hours $19.04 hourly


After 1500 $19.61 hourly

Child, Youth & Family Supervisor

Nature & Scope:




Will report to the Supervisor, Child, Youth and Family and will work collaboratively with other members of the YMCA team to provide a safe and fun environment for our child, youth, and family programming.

Major Responsibilities:



Lead programs for children aged 0 to 12 years old in a positive and professional manner Facilitate games and activities for various children's programs to promote active and creative play Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, YMCA members, visitors, and colleagues Navigate challenging conflict situations using YMCA standards and procedures Strong work ethic and able to remain flexible Perform general administrative duties and record keeping responsibilities Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff, and property by following YMCA policies and ensuring they are maintained among all members and staff Assist with training new staff/volunteers in procedures and practices


Requirements:



+ Current Standard First Aid certificate with CPR level C & AED (valid within 2 years)
+ Experience working with children - preferred
+ Demonstrated high level of customer service skills
+ Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
+ 3 professional references
