Little Kitchen Academy is the leading Montessori-inspired cooking academy for children and teens. We are focused on providing a safe, inspiring, and empowering space for children to identify, develop and refine their senses. With joy, mindfulness and learning as a base, we are creating a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

We are looking for kind, passionate instructors who love working with children, who live a healthy lifestyle, and who have a keen interest in the kitchen.

We offer flexible hours with morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts available. Work 4 to 20 hours per week depending on your availability.

What will you be doing?

Guiding children through their class as a Lead, Support or Environment Instructor. Welcoming, preparing and teaching up to 10 children per class by going through that day's recipe from scratch to consumption. Demonstrating practical life skills and proper kitchen tool usage while fostering conversations around ingredients and equipment, offering choices, suggestions and observations as they work. Helping students discover and identify where things are located and encouraging and supporting practice of skills , allowing for as much time as needed. Maintaining a clean, safe and organized environment, washing dishes, laundry and putting away supplies.
What will be expected of you?

You have prior experience working with children. You are kind, caring and patient. You have a passion for living a healthy lifestyle. You are able to stand for extended periods of time. You are available to work evenings, weekends and holidays if required.

All LKA Instructors must have current food handling certification (FoodSafe), criminal record check, and First Aid/CPR/AED Training prior to starting.
