Anticipated Shift:

Wednesdays, 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Position Summary:

Baby Steps at NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre is seeking an energetic Child Minder & Food Prep Helper to support our Healthy Baby program. This role involves preparing snacks, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, maintaining a safe and engaging child-minding space and assisting staff and volunteers with program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide child-minding support and engage with young children Set up, maintain, and clean the child-minding area; disinfect toys and high-touch surfaces Prepare snacks and assist with food set-up; clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, wash dishes, handle the dishwasher Sweep and mop floors, wipe down counters, fridge, microwave, and stove Capture program stats and report any incidents to staff

Requirements:

Must be energetic and comfortable with young children as well as being confident in the kitchen Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check required Food Handler's Certificate is an asset but not required Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and volunteers
