This role will contribute to the development and implementation of standardized paediatric pain standards in the emergency department and willPlan and implement a range of developmentally appropriate interventions to promote effective coping and optimum development.Demonstrate a strong understanding of paediatric pain management and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide developmentally appropriate care.Evaluate and integrate research into practice and provide knowledge translation resources for multi-disciplinary teams.Observe, document, and report data relating to patients as it pertains to Child Life services and relevant projects.Participate and contribute to inter-professional committees that impact paediatric health-related practice. Provide in-service and community education as requested.Show a keen interest in project management and possess diligent attention to detail.QualificationsGraduate, or current student of, Child Life program with related internship experience in Emergency or Ambulatory settings.
