Child Home Services (CHS)

is one of the many programs offered by New Directions. This service area offers a range of home supports (i.e., family supports, foster home, group care homes, individualized homes, independent living, mentored living) to children, youth, and families who are dealing with challenges related to the experience of trauma and/or living with a disability. Our community-based resources are designed to support connection with family and community, a sense of belonging, and provide opportunities to engage in a meaningful life.

The Digital Systems Associate

is responsible for facilitating the advancement and upkeep of digital systems and tools, including Microsoft 365 applications, reports, dashboards, APIs, workflow automations, and databases. The Associate is responsible for facilitating projects such as the development of tracking templates and forms, and the maintenance of digital tools such as SharePoint and evaluation systems. Additionally, the Associate supports service areas through data processing, information tracking, training colleagues on the systems, and various administrative duties.

RESPONISBILITIES:



Developing, testing, implementing, and enhancing digital systems utilized by program and service areas. Collaborating with the Child Home Services and Digital Technology & transformation teams to address ad hoc digital system and tool projects. Participating in evaluation and development of tools to efficiently manage workshops for client-specific staff, foster parents, and respite providers. Coordinating staffing supports and schedules for participants in conjunction with Supervisors and Coordinators. Providing support and feedback to support staff. Orientation of employees on use of SharePoint, digital documents, logs, trackers, and other administrative tools. Promoting positive working relationships with staff and facilitating conflict resolution as issues arise. Completing data entry for changes in Child Home Services teams, ensuring that all SharePoint files, access and trackers are subsequently up to date. Monitoring staff on completion of reports, shift logs, etc. as required for licensing. Participating in the development, implementation, monitoring of audit and monitoring systems for support plans, and ensuring proper documentation is in place for files. Maintaining updated trackers and reporting tools utilized by service areas. Supporting the homes, locations and resource team with various administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a digital systems focused role, preferably in the non-profit sector. Post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Information Systems Technology (or a related field) from a recognized post-secondary institution. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated experience developing innovating products and solutions in a technology environment. Experience with basic programming languages and the creation of data base and reports. Strong time management practices including accountability for assigned projects, record keeping and the supporting administrative skills. Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat DC and Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Forms. Knowledge of American Sign Language is considered an asset.


The salary range for this Full-time, 70-hour bi-weekly position is $23.63 to $30.71 per hour, dependent upon education and/or experience.
