We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Development Worker ( Level 3 ) to support the growth and development of children in our care. This role involves creating a nurturing environment that promotes learning, socialization, and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with disabilities. The Child Development Specialist will collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met through engaging activities and personalized support.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored to each child's age and abilities
Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that encourages exploration and social interaction
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and behavioral changes
Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop individualized care plans
Assist in daily caregiving routines such as feeding, diapering, and hygiene practices
Promote social-emotional development through positive reinforcement and effective communication
Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and safety
Skills
Prior classroom experience working with young children or in early childhood education settings
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children in meaningful activities
Compassionate caregiving skills with patience and understanding
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and children
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs of children
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
