Child Care Worker

Job Description
The successful candidate will provide support with counselling to each child that comes in the
care and custody of the agency. This will involve intervention in crisis situations, completion of
assessments for the purpose of treatment plans, to recruit and work with foster families, and to
assume the responsibility of a varied caseload. He/she will also be responsible for the provision
of protective services to individuals, children and families as mandated by the Child and Youth
Family Services Act.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Social Work and/or Diploma in Social Services
- Travel required, sometimes on short notice
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Ability to speak Cree an asset
- Ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Class G Driver\'s License is mandatory
training
SALARY RANGE:
$59,098 -$65,942 Annually
