Job Description

Heritage Family Services is now recruiting experienced Child and Youth Care Workers for an Awake Night position for programs located in Red Deer, AB.

Shifts from; 4 on 2 off, 8hrs per shift.

The ideal candidate will have likely be characterized by others as authentic, service-focused, responsible, organized and outgoing. You display a strong level of interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop healthy relationships with the children in their care.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Post-Secondary Education (or current enrollment) in relevant Social Work or Human Services certificate, diploma or degree is a strong asset. Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check, Class 5 Driver's License, and Drivers Abstract (with less than 6 demerits) will be required as part of pre-employment screening. Recognition of Indigenous Traditions and beliefs and the importance of culturally appropriate care Demonstrated respect to diverse communities, backgrounds, identities, gender, and sexualities with an understanding of terminology and pronouns. Ability to communicate cross-culturally and work effectively with individuals and groups, including those with socially marginalized identities and experiences.

Mandatory Requirements:

A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months

A Child Intervention Check that is dated within the last 6 months

Proof of eligibility to work in Canada

Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver's License for 3 or more years in Canada

A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months

Copy of education listed in resume.
