Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education with Level 3 certifications and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as the ability to communicate in multiple languages will enhance our educational offerings.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters learning and development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships. Educate children through play-based learning activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices. Utilize technology to document children's progress and communicate with families effectively.

Requirements



Education and Certifications:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3) or equivalent qualification (required). Current certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain). Childcare certification or licensing as required by local/state regulations.

Experience:

At least 3-5 years of experience working in a licensed childcare center or similar setting. Proven management or supervisory experience within a childcare or educational environment (required).

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of early childhood development and learning frameworks. Familiarity with local/state childcare licensing requirements and regulations. Knowledge of curriculum implementation and age-appropriate activities. Basic understanding of budgeting and resource management in a childcare setting.

Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and support a team. Effective communication skills to engage with children, families, and staff. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to handle challenges proactively. Proficiency in using technology for administrative tasks, including email and childcare management software.

Additional Requirements:

A valid police clearance and background check to work with children (required). Flexibility to work during operational hours and attend occasional meetings or events outside regular hours. Join us as we strive for excellence and make a meaningful impact within our organization!
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Secondary School (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

L3 certification and Vulnerable sector check (required)
Willingness to travel:

25% (preferred)
