Childcare Supervisor - Commerce Park Location

Lakeland Childcare is seeking an experienced and dependable Childcare Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Commerce Park centre. This is a leadership role focused on organization, staff support, program quality, and compliance, allowing the owners to focus on growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

The Supervisor is responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the centre, including staff coordination, program oversight, and family communication. This role is primarily off-ratio, stepping into ratio only when required due to absences or emergencies.

Oversee daily centre operations and ensure consistent routines across classrooms Support educators with curriculum implementation, documentation, and classroom management Monitor staff schedules, attendance, breaks, and ratios Serve as the first point of contact for routine parent communication and concerns Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education regulations and internal policies Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and communication logs Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and program quality Coordinate supply staff and support onboarding of new employees Communicate operational updates and escalate significant issues to Centre Directors Support opening and closing procedures as needed

Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to manage routines, prioritize tasks, and remain calm in a busy environment Clear communicator with staff and families Experience in a licensed childcare setting (supervisory experience preferred) Solid understanding of CCEYA requirements and childcare best practices Problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating with ownership

Position Details:

Full-time, Monday to Friday Primarily off-ratio leadership role Supportive ownership team and clearly defined responsibilities Opportunity to grow with an expanding childcare organization
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.86-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
