BGC Wolf Creek is seeking a

Child Care Program Assistant- Float

for all

four

of the communities we serve: BGC Wolf Creek - Blackfalds, Ponoka, Lacombe & Rimbey.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children 5-12 and dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

??Engage with children in a supporting and nurturing manner. Supervise and interact with children during both in-program activities and field trips, such as swimming, bowling, laser tag etc. Work in club location as assigned. ??Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of facilities. ??Demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations. ??Assist in program development and ensure compliance with licensing regulations. Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 18 years of age. Minimum Level 1 Childcare Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months through online course). Clear Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector check Valid First Aid/CPR certification (preferred but not mandatory). ??Previous experience working with children preferred. Driver License and reliable transportation.
Hours:

??Min. 20 Hours a week (Sept to June) 32 hours/week (July & August) ??Monday to Friday Hours will range from 8:00 am to 6:00pm
*There is a government wage top up program for those that have their Child Care Certification.

*Mileage will be compensated depending on location of residence.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.25-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
