Child Care Position - Level 2 or 3-Kinderlead

We are looking for a creative and caring Child Care Educator for Kindercare and out of school care of students at Discovery Kim Hung. A successful candidate will have great organizational skills, dynamic project ideas, a strong voice in the classroom, patience with groups of of various age-ranges, and knowledgeable in implementing strategies.

The position is working with children in kindergarten - grade 6 before and after school. The hours range from 8:00am - 5:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

Must have a high school diploma.

Must have the certification in ELCC (level 2 or 3)

Must hold and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.

Must hold and maintain a valid criminal record check as per AB Licensing Regulations

Knowledge of the FLIGHT framework and curriculum is preferred.

Energetic, and flexible with a strong work ethic.

Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.

Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in OSC education (as shown by positive reference from a former employer or supervisor in the OSC field)

. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and problem solve.

A successful candidate must have a vehicle, as our location is in Kim Hung School located at 1950 Glastonbury Blvd NW. The position is a Full-time position, from Monday to Friday. Must be flexible with hours, as we are open on PD Days, non-instructional days, and in the summer (Full days).
