Job Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Community Programs and Childcare, this position is responsible for the oversight of the assigned location YWCA Childcare Centres. The Director will lead a team of Assistant Directors and Early Childhood Educators to provide early years learning and school readiness. Leading with a focus on continuous learning while also encouraging a healthy team culture that encourages collaboration.

Responsibilities:



Program Development

This position is responsible for the overall quality of programming being provided, including:

Maintain high quality service/programming informed by best practices in the field Look for opportunities to refine and improve service where possible Identify and coordinate appropriate training opportunities Maintain current knowledge of relevant program development and ensure that staff are made aware of the information Ensure that the Agency's philosophy and objectives are consistent with program delivery Develop strong relationships with YWCA childcare families and implement a family recruitment strategy Develop and maintain relationship with Ministry of Education - Early Years Branch and the assigned consultant.

Administration



Direct supervision of program and program educators including hiring, coaching, training, direct feedback and role modeling, and fostering professional growth

Foster strong and positive relationships at both front line and YWCA Centre Directors throughout the department to ensure program consistency, branding and support to YWCA families

Maintain a presence in childcare locations for role modeling opportunities

Identify and develop staff training and professional development plans for childcare tam

Manage budget tracking, purchasing and receipt submission

Assist with the annual budgeting process including projections

Maintains current and accurate records of YWCA's childcare financial transactions

Maintains and reconciles childcare ledgers

Monitor and submit Ministry granting opportunities

Submit any ministry required reporting

Administers the credit and collections policies

Qualifications:



A working knowledge of both administrative and program needs. A solid knowledge of early years education including:

Two or more years of management experience, with proven administrative, supervisory, team building/coaching and leadership skills are essential

ECE level 3 minimum - Saskatchewan certified

Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal and negotiation skills

Extensive experience program development and delivery, as well as advanced knowledge and understanding in child development

Customer Service and relationship development

Computer skills

Ability to deal with high stress situations

A valid Saskatchewan driver's license

First Aid/CPR current valid certification

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $34.40-$35.53 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
