We invite you to come see what the power of belonging can do for you, your career and your community.The OpportunityThe Child Care Cleaner will ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the YMCA Quispamsis location. The role acts in a professional manner that ensures a positive overall impression of the site as well as ensuring the facility is clean and well maintained.Responsibilities

• Service, clean and supply washrooms and classrooms
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean and polish fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, walls, doors, and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, windows, machines, and equipment.
• Maintains the cleanliness, neatness and organization of the housekeeping area.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.

Skills and Qualifications

• Cleaning experience in a commercial establishment.
• WHMIS training is an asset, and training will be provided if not already certified.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Flexibility regarding assigned work schedule, including days, evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver\'s license and access to own transportation.
• First Aid/CPR/AED or willingness to obtain.
• Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search along with clearance from the Department of Social Development.
