About the Role

The Physio Space is seeking a warm, attentive, and baby-loving

Child-Minding Assistant

to support our

Mom & Baby small-group rehab and strength classes

.

This role is a key part of our programming -- allowing moms to focus on movement, recovery, and strength while knowing their babies are safe, comforted, and cared for nearby.

You will care for infants in a calm, clean, and nurturing environment within the clinic, while working closely with physiotherapists and instructors who lead the classes.

Program Dates & Schedule

Series Runs:

January 12 - March 20, 2026

Class Coverage Required:

Mondays:

11:00 AM - 1:15 PM

Wednesdays:

9:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Fridays:

9:45 AM - 1:15 PM

Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants aged

6 weeks to 12 months

Hold, soothe, comfort, and engage babies during class time Support feeding, diaper changes, and settling as needed Create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment for babies and parents Communicate respectfully and warmly with parents and clinic staff Follow clinic safety, hygiene, and infection-control protocols Maintain cleanliness of the baby area, toys, mats, and equipment Alert physiotherapy staff of any concerns promptly

Qualifications & Skills

Genuine love for infants and early child development Experience caring for babies (personal, volunteer, or professional experience welcomed) Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor Comfortable working in a healthcare/rehab setting Early Childhood Education, nursing, doula, PSW, or related experience is an asset but not required
