Access to First Aid/CPR-C & CPI/NVCI refreshers plus trauma-informed-care workshops.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting and mentoring children and young adults, particularly those with disabilities. This position focuses on creating a safe and nurturing environment where youth can thrive, learn, and develop essential life skills. The Youth Worker will engage with participants through educational activities, recreational programs, and individualized support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement Individual Service Plans; complete MCCSS-compliant logs and serious-occurrence reports.
Coach life skills (hygiene, nutrition, budgeting); facilitate recreational/educational outings;
transport youth in your vehicle
.
Provide evidence-based de-escalation, crisis stabilization and positive behaviour support.
Administer medication and petty cash per agency policy.
Maintain a safe, clean living environment and protect privacy under CYFSA Part X.
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
Reliable personal vehicle & valid Ontario Class G licence.
Diploma/degree in Child & Youth Care, Social Service Work, Developmental Service Work, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 1 year residential experience with youth who have dual diagnosis, developmental disability and/or mental health needs.
Current

Vulnerable Sector Check
(within the last 6 months).
Strong written and verbal English; additional languages are an asset.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg and participate in active recreation.
