Collectivfide is at an exciting stage of growth and transformation. Building on the strength of our Mutual insurance roots and our expanding network of 13 broker partners, we are looking to more than double in size over the next five years. We are seeking a forward-thinking Chief Operating Officer (COO); a proven leader who thrives on turning strategy into execution and scaling organizations through operational excellence, collaboration, and innovation.



This is more than an operational leadership role, it's an opportunity to help shape the future of Collective, support the independent broker channel, strengthen the Mutual insurance community, and build a lasting legacy of growth and collaboration.



This role is hybrid: minimum 1 day a week in our Cambridge, ON office as well as additional in office days for meetings (town halls, department & Board meetings)

Key Duties & Responsibilities




Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to execute the five-year strategic plan and achieve growth objectives. Provide strategic leadership to translate priorities into clear, operational plans ensuring growth, profitability, scalability & efficiency across the brokerages, reporting on progress, milestone, successes and challenges (e.g. shared services model). Build & develop the operational team to execute on the strategic plan. Management & Board reporting of operational health metrics / KPIs; attend Board meetings as required. Work in collaboration with the leadership team and the brokers to develop business plans, budgets & establish key strategic goals and kpis that align to overall company goals and performance targets. Lead the Operations team in the execution of the customer channel strategies. Ensure optimal resource utilization and budget management at the broker and Collectivfide level. Serve as the final point of escalation & timely resolution of carrier and brokerage issues. Keep the CEO informed of emerging risks/issues. Stay current with market and industry trends and innovations that impact the business; know what our competitors are doing. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, partnership meetings, etc.



Requirements & Qualifications




Degree in Risk Management, Financial Services, Business Administration Proven experience as a senior operational leader (COO, VP Operations or equivalent) within the p&C insurance industry. Experience working in an operational leadership role in a brokerage is a must. A track record of driving growth, transformation and operational excellence. Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision making capability. Being a growth-oriented company you can wear many hats and are comfortable dealing with change at a fast pace as we grow and evolve. Proven track record leading teams, driving performance, follow-through and accountability. Some travel required to visit broker partners or attend industry events, conferences, etc.
