Job Description

The Chief of Estimation will lead and oversee all aspects of the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids. This role requires a strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Develop and manage the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to determine project requirements and budgets.
• Lead and mentor a team of estimators to achieve departmental goals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Identify potential risks or opportunities within project bids and recommend solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and reliable execution.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure estimates align with current industry standards.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project bids and estimation outcomes to senior leadership.

A successful Chief of Estimation should have:

• A strong background in construction estimation within the ICI Fields.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and guide a team effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of estimation software and tools.

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field
