We are currently accepting applications for the position of: Chief Information Officer Position Type: Permanent effective Immediately Salary $165,000 Position Summary Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is seeking creative, collaborative and innovative candidates for the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Under the direction of the Associate Director of Education (Corporate Services), the CIO is responsible for managing the operation of the Information Technology and Digital Transformation Department. The CIO provides strategic leadership and direction to a highly effective team within the DPCDSB business and learning technology department, including technology investment planning and procurement, cyber security, and digital information management and transformation. The CIO participates proactively with all members of the senior management team in developing and executing strategic plans, policies and procedures to optimize the use of information and communication technology in support of the educational and business objectives of DPCDSB. As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic leader with demonstrated knowledge and experience leading and managing significant projects in IT and digital transformation. A recognized leader in the field, you are intimately aware of current trends in information technology, educational transformative modes of learning, cyber security, and digital platforms. A dynamic leader of people, you excel in developing and leading a team, preferably in a unionized environment. You have a proven ability to develop and lead multi-year plans and programs, leading innovative system-level change. Qualifications University degree in Computer Science, Education, Business Administration or a related field A minimum of fifteen (15) years of work experience in the field of Information Technology. This experience should include at least seven (7) years of direct management and supervision of a major Information Technology Department. Experience in the field of education is essential. Experience should include a number of the following specialties: IT operations, project management, programming, systems design, hardware/software implementation, financial management, multiple hardware platforms, integrated information and communications systems: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Credentials preferred. OR, the equivalent combination of education and experience.
