To contribute to this vision, APC is seeking their next Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As the CFO, you are an integral member of the executive team, bringing astute financial and business acumen to steer and oversee the financial planning, performance measurement, forecasting, treasury and risk management processes of APC. You will help to empower the organization through its diverse business lines for both short-term objectives and long-term aspirations. You will develop and manage a comprehensive planning process that aligns the organizational vision, business drivers, and measurable achievements, fostering a unified approach alongside senior leaders.

This position is a great opportunity for an experienced CFO who thrives in collaborative environments focused on the customer experience and who excels at bridging the gap between finance and other departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative culture and leadership approach, driving teamwork between finance and the various complex business departments and teams at APC.
  • Manage unique financial reporting requirements and compliance regulations.
  • Manage financial operations in a multi-source funding environment that includes government funding, revenue generation and fund development.
  • Provide financial input and collaborative support in matters outside of finance such as insurance, risk and legal.
  • Contribute to decision-making processes across APC\'s operations.
  • Establish effective financial structures and processes, balancing entrepreneurial spirit with increased structure and alignment with funding partners.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio including procurement, insurance, risk, and finance functions, also ensuring effective management and optimization of investment opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A CPA designation.
  • Proven track record as a collaborative senior finance leader with years of experience leading and building teams.
  • Solid understanding of various financial reporting requirements related to private, public sector and/or non-profit.
  • Experience managing multiple and diverse areas of funding such as government funding, fundraising and for-profit revenue generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate risk and legal matters as well as provide insight and guidance around insurance activities.
  • Broad business experience across various functions, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to situations - allowing for a balance of structure and ambiguity.

The Park:

The Park is home to popular attractions like the English Garden, The Pavilion, and the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. Winding trails, wide open green spaces, and breathtaking gardens encourage people to get outdoors and be active. Educational programs, free outdoor entertainment at the Lyric Theatre, public art galleries, unique event venues, and a great variety of events and activities provide amazing opportunities for learning, celebration and recreation.

The Leaf:
The Leaf is an indoor horticultural attraction where visitors journey through four distinct biomes to experience a stunning showcase of our diversity, expressed through plants that shape our lives here and across the globe. Outdoors, the Gardens at The Leaf comprises close to thirty acres of gardens and greenspace and six areas to explore - Indigenous Peoples Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, Performance Garden, Seasonal Garden, and The Grove.
