Job Description

Well-capitalized startup seeks extremely talented Director of Estimating to deliver $10M in awarded ICI Construction quotes in 3 Months and an additional $15M by Month 6. You must have experience in large ICI project pricing, RFQ management, vendor sourcing, cost control, and award rate maximization. Track record in building top-performing estimating teams, value stream creation, overseeing pre-construction, and developing cost databases that slash quoting into a fraction of the time that most consider possible.

Top-notch analytical, cost control, and cross-functional leadership skills are essential. You should have a bachelor's degree or master's in construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying, or equivalent. Familiarity with lean construction, AI, or advanced estimating software would be helpful but is not necessary.

Must be willing to relocate to the Ontario area.

Compensation will include above average base salary and meaningful target bonuses.

Mission for Director of Estimating:

Deliver $10M in awarded quotes within the first 3 Months and an additional $15M by the end of Month 6 while maintaining an 80-85% award rate and an average GPM of 30%. Build scalable estimating infrastructure, databases, and RFQ systems that cut quotation lead times by 50%. Hire and develop a high-performing estimating team capable of supporting $100M in awarded work by the End of Year 1.

What You'll Do

- Lead estimating strategy to deliver high-value ICI quotes with unmatched speed and accuracy.

- Build and expand subcontractor/vendor networks for all major project categories.

- Oversee and optimize the Pre-Construction transition from bid award to project delivery.

- Architect processes that cut quotation lead times while delivering speed, precision, and accuracy.

- Build and lead a world-class estimating team capable of supporting $100M+ in awarded work.

- Drive continuous waste elimination, process improvement, lower costs, and optimized installs.
