Chief Commercial Officer - Northland Hotel Group

Northland Properties, owner and operator of the Sandman, Sandman Signature, and Sutton Place hotel brands, is hiring a Chief Commercial Officer to lead the next chapter of commercial growth across our portfolio. This senior executive will unify Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Revenue Management, Digital, and Loyalty into one integrated commercial function aligned with Northland's long-term ownership and operating model.

About the Role

The Chief Commercial Officer will shape enterprise commercial strategy, strengthen demand generation, improve market share, and ensure consistent commercial execution across all brands and properties. This leader will bring together our commercial disciplines under a single framework and work closely with Operations and Finance to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead an enterprise commercial strategy that supports growth across all hotel brands Integrate Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Revenue Management, Digital, and Loyalty into one coordinated commercial structure Improve segmentation, pricing, channel mix, direct business, and overall demand generation Strengthen market positioning and loyalty engagement across B2B and B2C segments Build and maintain strong relationships with tourism bodies, corporate travel buyers, TMCs, OTAs, consortia, and key industry partners Advance direct channel performance and digital engagement strategies Establish commercial analytics, forecasting, dashboards, and performance reporting Ensure commercial strategies translate into consistent property-level execution Mentor, develop, and support a high-performing commercial leadership team Collaborate closely with Operations and Finance to drive alignment, accountability, and results

Required Qualifications

Senior commercial leadership experience in hospitality or a multi-brand travel or consumer-facing organization Deep experience leading integrated commercial teams across Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Revenue Management, Digital, and Loyalty Proven track record improving RevPAR index, channel profitability, market share, and total revenue performance Strong understanding of pricing, segmentation, distribution strategy, digital engagement, and integrated commercial planning Established credibility with corporate travel buyers, TMCs, OTAs, tourism bodies, and travel industry partners Strong financial literacy with the ability to connect commercial action to EBITDA impact Demonstrated experience partnering with Operations and Finance to drive property-level performance Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
