We're looking for a skilled and adaptable Process Engineer to help drive our technology development and demonstration projects.
This role calls for a unique blend of technical expertise, project management ability, and strong interpersonal skills, along with hands-on experience in designing and operating pilot plants. Success here means being flexible, intellectually curious, and solutions-focused, with the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing PFDs, mass and energy balances, stream tables
Developing and detailing P&IDs
Selection and design of process equipment for pilot and demo projects
Reviewing batch and pilot operating data for scale-up
Participating in process hazard analysis and management.
Providing practical input to pilot project execution.
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and presentations.
Participate in internal product development to enhance our service offerings, in particular our internal framework for helping industrial startups design, build, and operate their own pilot plants.
Travelling to project sites as needed (up to 25% during the execution phase).
What You'll Bring To The Team:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
6-10 years of direct industry experience in chemical process engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario.
Eligible to travel without restriction within Canada and the USA
Experience facilitating process hazard analysis workshops (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP).
Experience with functional safety systems.
Understanding of chemical process equipment and troubleshooting experience.
Hands-on commissioning and pilot operations experience.
Ability to learn new software quickly, including Google and Microsoft platforms.
Strong interest in new technology and startups.
