Job Summary

This Company is seeking experienced Chemical engineer to join South Ghawar producing Department as Process Engineer. The Process engineer will be responsible to monitor and trouble shoot fourteen (14) Gas Oil Separation Plants which process majority of AL Crude. The candidate shall have through understanding of plant operations, process technologies, process modeling, capital investment, business drivers, and economic evaluations. The process engineer shall also demonstrate the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams producing reports, studies and doing presentations that provide basis for management\'s decision.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot process-related issues.
  • Develop and review engineering design packages for process and piping modifications in new or upgrade projects.
  • Provide support to capital projects by reviewing design packages throughout the project\'s life cycle.
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Conduct mass and energy balances, monitor processes and systems to provide energy-optimized solutions.
  • Propose and trial test new technologies.
  • Develop, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and standards.
  • Develop and mentor young engineers.
  • Provide analysis, evaluation, and interpretation to support projects, processes, and financial evaluations for This Company Capital Investment decisions.
  • Regularly interact with professionals from various company organizations involved in capital planning and economic analysis.
Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemical Engineering (MS is preferred).
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C. Eng.) license or registration is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Process Engineer with an Oil & Gas operator or engineering company.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry standards and codes such as API and ASME to support design reviews and plant modifications.
  • Experience in developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience in troubleshooting process issues and equipment failures, including pumps, compressors, dehydration, and desalting systems.
  • Proficiency in process simulation modeling using software such as HYSIS, FLARENET, or other industry-standard tools.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
  • Commissioning and testing of process systems and equipment.
  • Experience in preparing process equipment specifications and process datasheets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical, economic, and commercial concepts in a clear manner to individuals or groups with diverse professional backgrounds.
