Chemical Process Engineer Assists the Production Supervisor and eventually take over this position. ABOUT US QUSAC DECAF is changing the world of decaffeinated coffee. We lead our industry in conserving finite resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and landfill capacity while ensuring a superior customer experience. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve company productivity goals;
• Direct and coordinate the work of caffeine and decaf production operators and assistant operator;
• Ensure the proper operation of production equipment;
• Execute the request for materials and supplies;
• Solve problems and answer questions from production team;
• Recommend corrective actions using a continuous improvement approach to productivity and product quality;
• Ensure the recording of data and control the documents and registers of the coffee batches at the end of the operations;
• Prepare production and other reports for the production operation;
• Train new staff: processes, safety procedures, company policies and ensure documentation relating to staff training;
• Replace an absent operator if no other is available;
• All other tasks relating to the production department.

SKILLS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or food & beverage processing sector;
• Have good expertise in equipment such as reactors, filter presses, centrifuges, dryers and boilers;
• Experience working in an SQF, HACCP and CGMP environment.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

• Diploma in Chemical Process Engineering
• Must speak Spanish
• The candidate must have a good spirit of initiative and can work under pressure;
• The candidate must be able to work independently and have experience managing a team;
• He/She must demonstrate a commitment to achieving his/her production goals;
• Possess strong analytical and communication skills;
• A team player
• The candidate must be available to work in 12 hr shifts for the initial training.
