Job Description

The Plant Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the overall operations of the manufacturing site. The Site Manager manages and oversees production, quality assurance, materials planning/scheduling, shipping/receiving, security, and maintenance. Skills and Abilities Include:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in, chemical production is required. Detailed knowledge of chemical unit operations and project engineering.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows, Windows applications, and ERP order entry systems.
• Experience in plant project and process engineering. 2-5 years.
• HAZOP / PHA experience required.
• PSM experience required.

• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and utilizing all media (phone, e-mail, text)) for interaction with internal and external customers including the ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments
• Must demonstrate initiative and be a change agent.
• Demonstrates superior analytical skills and the ability to initiate and/or assist problem-solving activities in operations, logistics, safety, and environmental areas.
• Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Able to quickly and creatively troubleshoot and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize work to meet concurrent deadlines. Work effectively under pressure to produce accurate results.
• Must be a team participant. Effective interaction with Engineering, EH&S, Customer Service, and Sales is a requirement.

• Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and responsible manner. Must insure all internal and regulatory safety requirements are met. Ensure GPS program objectives are achieved.
• Management of manufacturing site employees including Plant Manager, Laboratory staff, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, site Customer Service, and Office personnel. Provides site leadership to execute plant operations in a safe and efficient manner, meeting site commercial objectives.
• Responsible for the coordination of the maintenance of equipment and plant facility
• Participate in the development of capital budgets for the site. Works closely with Operations Management and Engineering to develop and execute CAPEX Projects.
• Participates in the development of strategic and operational objectives with the VP of Operations, Director of Plant Operations, and Director of Engineering.
• Accountable for establishing and maintaining a safe, productive working environment through the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for effective interfacing with applicable civic and regulatory agencies.
• Manage site budgets
• Plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
• Any other business activities as required.
