Siltech Corporation, a Canadian owned Chemical company, is looking to hire immediately:

2 Full time, permanent, Chemical Operators for our Toronto facility.

This opportunity offers a full Benefits and Pension package after a 3-month probation period at which time the hourly rate increases to $42.57. A fully trained Chemical Operator earns in excess of $53.00 per hour.

Duties include operating filters and packaging equipment safely and efficiently, meeting all quality goals and scheduling deadlines and performing Quality Control tests. Cleanup duties for plant and equipment will also be required. The production of multiple products will require the incumbent to become familiar with a variety of procedures.

Over a period of 2-3 years, the incumbent will be trained to be responsible for the complete processing of all products in all reactors, from start to finish, in specification and on time including in-process analytical work that may be required as batches progress.

This is a 24/7 12 hour Continental Shift, rotating between days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am) every 2 weeks.

To qualify for this position, you must be a grade 12 graduate with forklift experience. Candidates will have a minimum of 2-3 years' direct experience as a Chemical Operator including familiarity with pumps, filters, chemicals and safety equipment. Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instruction is essential as is the ability to perform designated tasks with concentration and precision, under minimum supervision.

Applicants will be required to write a basic math test and successfully complete a background check including education verification and a criminal background check.
