Imperial is recruiting new chemical engineering graduates for a variety of positions within the Nanticoke refinery organization including the Process Technical, Applications and Environmental teams.

What you will do

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including operations, reliability, and automation engineers to support safe and reliable unit operation
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify, develop and implement operational and facility improvements with focus on safety, reliability, economics and sustainability
  • Effectively communicate status of unit operation, improvement opportunities and operating costs to various stakeholders
  • Participate in risk assessments, root cause investigations, corporate networks and communities of practice
  • Support annual long term plan development as well as annual energy, environmental and cost reporting
About you

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent, as certified by an accredited/recognized institution.
  • Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • Previous refinery, chemical Plant or closely related engineering experience.
  • High degree of analytical and technical ability, able to communicate complex technical data clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail with handling high quantity and quality of work
  • Ability to effectively influence others without authority
  • Strong Interpersonal effectiveness
  • A valid driver\'s license is required for certain positions
  • Work schedule: Full time position

Eligibility to work in Canada

All applicants who receive an offer of employment must be eligible to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions on their start date. Proof of eligibility must be current and valid (not expired, cancelled or voided). Proof of eligibility will be required if an offer of employment is made. Failure to provide proof of eligibility at least six (6) weeks prior to the start date may result in the offer of employment being rescinded.
