We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and support personnel, ensuring efficient team management and workflow.
Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency.
Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment in accordance with health standards.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Oversee shift management, scheduling staff shifts to meet operational demands while maintaining labor efficiency.
Supervise dietary department activities when applicable, ensuring special dietary needs are met accurately.
Maintain excellent customer service standards through effective food service management and team leadership.
Handle food handling procedures responsibly, including proper storage, sanitation practices, and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with management on budget planning, menu innovation, and overall restaurant or facility operations.
Experience
Proven banquet experience with a strong background in catering and large-scale event food production.
Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment.
Extensive culinary experience with fine dining expertise preferred.
Strong background in food industry operations including food management, inventory management, and kitchen experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
Experience in menu planning, shift management, and restaurant management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Prior hospitality or restaurant experience with a focus on food service management is preferred.
