Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and passionate in individual who has a love for food. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation and quality control. As a Chef/ Kitchen Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and service, ensuring that every student receives quality meals .

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook high-quality, child-friendly meals according to daily and weekly menus independently. Manage kitchen operations independently, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and on schedule. Order food, supplies, and products; maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are kept clean, sanitized, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Monitor portion sizes and reduce waste through efficient planning. Follow all dietary guidelines, allergy protocols, and food safety standards. Complete light facility support tasks as needed, including covering teacher breaks and assisting with laundry. Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:



Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen management preferred. Ability to cook large quantities efficiently while maintaining quality and safety. Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict meal schedules. Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and assistance. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures. Ability to lift, stand, and perform repetitive tasks as required in a kitchen setting. Create healthy menus. Order and manage food inventory. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.80-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
